Arun Chowdhury Memorial Trust seeks to drive the
cause of social justice and representation of the socially marginalized
through various avenues of engagement; Primarily education. Setup in
2016, the Trust has been intent on promoting education among Students
across caste-class lines in Birbhum district, West Bengal, India. Going
forward, it seeks to strengthen its initiatives in the aforementioned
field and help those with less or no socio-economic capital fulfil their
individual aspirations and help build a more inclusive, just society by
other avenues.
OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST:
- To arrange for scholarship for meritorious students in the manner and form as would be decided by trustees;
- To organize memorial lectures on subjects having social significance;
- To work for promotion of education and learning in all branches;
- To undertake
training and education of the masses either on its own or in
co-operation with similar Agencies working for the cause of all round
development of the Society.
- To publish books, periodicals, monographs, brochures and papers for promotion of the objectives of the Trust.
- To build and maintain a library.
