Arun Chowdhury Memorial Trust

Arun Chowdhury Memorial Trust seeks to drive the cause of social justice and representation of the socially marginalized through various avenues of engagement; Primarily education. Setup in 2016, the Trust has been intent on promoting education among Students across caste-class lines in Birbhum district, West Bengal, India. Going forward, it seeks to strengthen its initiatives in the aforementioned field and help those with less or no socio-economic capital fulfil their individual aspirations and help build a more inclusive, just society by other avenues.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST:

To arrange for scholarship for meritorious students in the manner and form as would be decided by trustees;
To organize memorial lectures on subjects having social significance;
To work for promotion of education and learning in all branches;
To undertake training and education of the masses either on its own or in co-operation with similar Agencies working for the cause of all round development of the Society.
To publish books, periodicals, monographs, brochures and papers for promotion of the objectives of the Trust.
To build and maintain a library.
